Job Description

Our client is leading global apparel manufacturer specializing in lingerie, swimwear, and nightwear. With over three decades of experience, the gropu is committed to delivering high-quality products through innovation, excellence, and sustainable practices.

The team is seeking a dynamic and experienced Sourcing Director to set up and expand the sourcing operation for a newly acquired brand. This newly created role is pivotal in leading a team and managing external vendors through the entire lifecycle of product development, sales & merchandising, and product delivery. The ideal candidate must have extensive experience in lingerie merchandising.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement sourcing strategies to support the growth and expansion.
  • Team Leadership: Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing sourcing team, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
  • Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with external vendors to ensure high-quality product development and timely delivery.
  • Product Development: Oversee the product development process, ensuring alignment with brand standards and market trends.
  • Cost Optimization: Negotiate with vendors to achieve the best pricing and terms, supporting overall margin objectives.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure all products meet company stringent quality standards through rigorous quality control processes.
  • Market Analysis: Stay informed on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to make informed sourcing decisions.
  • Reporting & Analytics: Provide regular reports on sourcing activities, vendor performance, and key metrics to senior management.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in sourcing and merchandising, with a strong background in lingerie.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Fashion Merchandising, or a related field.
  • Proven leadership and team management abilities.
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
  • Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Deep understanding of lingerie product development and market trends.
  • Proficiency in English and Chinese is required
