Job Description
My client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Assistant Procurement Manager to join its dynamic team. As an Assistant Procurement Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving procurement strategies for engineering & construction operation. This includes managing procurement activities related to Facilities Management and MEP. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient sourcing, cost optimization, and supplier management in support of business operations.
Responsibilities:
Procurement Strategy Development:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies, focusing on MEP, Facilities Management.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and align procurement activities with operational objectives.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities, evaluate supplier capabilities, and negotiate contracts to secure favorable terms and conditions.
Supplier Management:
- Identify and qualify potential suppliers for MEP and Facilities Management, ensuring they meet quality, delivery, and cost requirements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, conducting regular performance reviews and addressing any issues or concerns.
- Collaborate with suppliers to drive continuous improvement, innovation, and cost optimization initiatives.
Procurement Process Optimization:
- Streamline procurement processes and procedures to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
- Implement best practices, tools, and systems to improve procurement operations and achieve cost savings.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards in procurement activities.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including operations, engineering, and finance departments, to understand their procurement needs and provide strategic guidance.
- Participate in cross-functional project teams to support facilites expansion, upgrades, and maintenance activities.
- Foster effective communication and collaboration to ensure alignment and success of procurement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field.
- Proven 8 experience in procurement management.
- Strong knowledge of procurement strategies and practices for construction and Facilities Management
- Excellent negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship management skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software and MS Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
