The team is seeking a talented and experienced Design Manager specializing in Sweaters to join its dynamic gloal design team based in Hong Kong. As the Design Manager, you will be responsible for driving the design process from concept development to final product realization. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, conducting market research, translating business insights into design concepts, and presenting design concepts to clients. This is an exciting opportunity for a creative individual with excellent communication and presentation skills.
Responsibilities:
- Research and analyze the latest market trends, consumer preferences, and industry developments to identify design opportunities and potential gaps in the market.
- Translate business insights and market research findings into compelling design concepts that align with company objectives and customer requirements.
- Collaborate closely with the Global Head of Design and other stakeholders to align design strategies with business goals.
- Create detailed design briefs, mood boards, sketches, and technical specifications to guide the design process.
- Oversee the development of design prototypes, ensuring adherence to quality standards and timely delivery.
- Conduct regular design reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members to enhance design output.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, actively engaging in client-facing interactions, and presenting design concepts.
- Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to understand customer needs and preferences, incorporating feedback into the design process.
- Stay updated with industry trends, innovations, and emerging technologies related to sweater design.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
- Proven 8 experience as a Design Manager or a similar role, specializing in Sweaters.
- Strong knowledge of sweater design, construction techniques, and materials.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts effectively to clients and stakeholders.
- Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to translate market insights into innovative design concepts.
- Client-focused mindset, with the ability to understand customer preferences and incorporate feedback into the design process.
- Detail-oriented with a keen eye for aesthetics, color, and trends.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, ensuring timely delivery of design concepts and prototypes.
- Flexibility to travel as needed for client meetings, trade shows, and sourcing trips.
