Our client is a leading retail company specializing in providing high-quality products and services to customers in the European market. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Merchandising Manager to join the team.
Position Overview:
As the Merchandising Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the merchandising operations of an established food business line. Your primary focus will be on confectionery and packaged food products for EU markett. You will work closely with the Managing Director to develop and implement strategies to meet the client's requirements and drive business growth. Additionally, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with food safety standards in the UK and EU.

Responsibilities:
- Enhance sourcing capabilities by identifying new suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring product quality meets company standards.
- Act as a strategic partner to buyers by providing insights on market trends, pricing strategies, and product assortment planning.
- Monitor supplier performance by evaluating key metrics such as on-time delivery, quality control, and cost-effectiveness to drive operational efficiency.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field.
- Proven 8 experience in merchandising, with a focus on enhancing sourcing capabilities and supplier management in the food retail industry.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to build effective partnerships with internal teams and external suppliers.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Proficiency in spoken & written English, Cantonese & Mandarin is a must
