NOC Engineer (Wireman)
Position Overview:
The NOC Engineer (Wireman) will play a pivotal role in maintaining the reliability, performance, and connectivity of the global data center. This position requires an individual with a strong technical background in wiring and cabling, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of wiring and cabling tasks, including installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and project-based work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform wiring and cabling installations, modifications, and repairs in data centers across multiple locations globally.
- Work closely with the NOC team to ensure timely and accurate responses to incidents, outages, and maintenance requests.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of wiring and cabling systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex wiring and cabling issues using advanced diagnostic techniques and equipment.
- Collaborate with project teams to plan, execute, and document wiring and cabling installations for new data center builds and expansions.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of all wiring and cabling work performed.
- Stay up-to-date with industry standards, best practices, and emerging technologies related to wiring and cabling.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Degree holder in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 1-2 years of experience in wiring and cabling for data centers or similar environments.
- Possess Certificate of Registration of Electrical Worker (Grade A) is an advantage.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical diagrams, schematics, and specifications.
- Strong technical skills in wiring and cabling systems, including fiber optics, copper cables, connectors, and terminations.
- Basic English and Chinese speaking; Fluent Putonghua is an advantage.
Additional Considerations:
- Knowledge of industry standards and compliance regulations for data center wiring and cabling.
- Experience working with various types of network equipment and systems.
- Familiarity with data center infrastructure and operations.
