Job Description

Our client is a leading global apparel tirms manufacturing group, is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Procurement Analyst to join the team based in Hong Kong. The Procurement Analyst will play a crucial role in optimizing its procurement processes, analyzing data, and providing valuable insights to drive cost savings and improve overall procurement efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  1. Data Analysis and Reporting:

    • Collect, analyze, and interpret procurement data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
    • Develop reports, dashboards, and visualizations to present procurement performance metrics and key insights to stakeholders.
    • Conduct regular spend analysis and supplier performance evaluations to identify areas for negotiation and supplier consolidation.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data and ensure data integrity and accuracy.
  2. Procurement Process Optimization:

    • Evaluate existing procurement processes and workflows to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for automation or improvement.
    • Identify and implement best practices to streamline procurement operations, enhance procurement cycle time, and reduce costs.
    • Work closely with stakeholders to understand their requirements and provide recommendations for optimizing procurement strategies and supplier relationships.
    • Continuously monitor market trends, industry benchmarks, and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for process innovation and optimization.
  3. Supplier Management:

    • Assist in the development and management of supplier evaluation and selection processes, including supplier performance scorecards and supplier qualification criteria.
    • Collaborate with the procurement team to conduct supplier negotiations and contract reviews to ensure favorable terms and conditions.
    • Support the implementation of supplier management programs, including supplier relationship management and supplier risk assessment.
    • Monitor supplier performance against key performance indicators (KPIs) and work with suppliers to address any issues or non-compliance.
  4. Cost Analysis and Savings Initiatives:

    • Conduct cost analysis and pricing benchmarking to identify cost reduction opportunities and negotiate favorable pricing with suppliers.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement cost-saving initiatives, such as value engineering, alternative sourcing, and demand management.
    • Track and report on cost savings achieved through procurement initiatives and provide recommendations for further savings.
  5. Compliance and Process Adherence:

    • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
    • Develop and maintain procurement documentation, including contracts, purchase orders, and supplier records.
    • Assist in supplier audits and compliance assessments to ensure adherence to quality standards and ethical practices.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Procurement Analyst or in a similar analytical role within procurement or supply chain.
  • Strong analytical and data interpretation skills, with proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques.
  • Excellent knowledge of procurement processes, strategic sourcing, and supplier management.
  • Proficiency in using procurement software and systems.
  • Strong understanding of financial analysis and cost management principles.
  • Good understanding of contract management and negotiation techniques.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex data and insights to stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional and multicultural environment
