Job Description
Position Overview:
As a Senior Product Developer, you will play a crucial role in the development and production of the apparel line. You will be responsible for driving innovation, ensuring high-quality standards, and delivering exceptional apparel / sportswear products that align with the brand identity and customer expectations. This position requires a deep understanding of knitwear / sportswear construction, materials, and manufacturing processes, coupled with strong project management skills and a passion for creating cutting-edge apparel.
Responsibilities:
- Leading Apparel Development: Take ownership of the end-to-end apparel development process, from ideation to production, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality apparel products.
- Design Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the design team to understand their vision and translate it into innovative and technically feasible apparel designs.
- Technical Specifications: Develop comprehensive technical specifications for apparel products, including detailed construction methods, sizing, and fit requirements.
- Sample Development and Testing: Oversee the creation of apparel prototypes and samples, coordinating with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure accuracy and adherence to design and quality standards.
- Supplier Management: Build and maintain relationships with external suppliers, ensuring effective communication and collaboration throughout the development and production process.
- Cost and Timeline Management: Monitor and control costs related to apparel development, while ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, such as product management, merchandising, and supply chain, to ensure smooth integration of knitwear products into the overall apparel collection.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Textile Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in apparel development, with a focus on knit / sportswear.
- In-depth knowledge of apparel construction techniques, materials, and manufacturing processes, with a proven track record of successfully developing and delivering apparel products.
- Project Management: Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaboration and Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and effectively with cross-functional teams, external suppliers, and stakeholders at all levels.
- Good command of English and Mandarin
