Job Summary:


As the Supply Chain & Procurement Manager at Peninsular Merchandising, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our supply chain and procurement processes. Reporting to the Director of Supply Chain & Procurement, you will be responsible for overseeing key functions including supply planning, inventory management, procure-to-pay process, order-to-cash process, and 3PL (Third-Party Logistics) management. Your expertise in these areas will be crucial in optimizing our supply chain operations and driving overall business success.

Key Job Functions:

  • Develop and implement supply planning strategies to ensure timely availability of materials and products.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast demand, monitor inventory levels, and identify potential supply chain risks.
  • Evaluate supplier performance and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure continuity of supply.
  • Monitor and analyze inventory levels, ensuring optimal stock levels are maintained to meet customer demands while minimizing carrying costs.
  • Implement inventory control measures, including cycle counting, stock accuracy checks, and regular inventory reconciliations.
  • Develop and maintain inventory management systems and processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Oversee the end-to-end procurement process, from sourcing suppliers to negotiating contracts and managing vendor relationships.
  • Implement procurement best practices to optimize costs, quality, and delivery timelines.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify cost-saving opportunities and drive continuous improvement in procurement processes.
  • Streamline the order management process, ensuring accurate order processing, timely delivery, and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to address order-related issues and resolve customer complaints.
  • Monitor order fulfillment metrics and implement improvements to enhance speed and accuracy.
  • Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers, ensuring adherence to service level agreements and performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with 3PL partners to optimize transportation, warehousing, and distribution processes.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and implement corrective actions when necessary.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven work experience in supply chain management, procurement, or related roles, with a minimum of 8 years of experience
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain processes, inventory management, and procurement best practices.
  • Experience in implementing and utilizing supply chain management systems and tools.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop subordinates.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in using supply chain and procurement software and tools.
