Our client is an internationally recognised sportwear label that retails premium sportswear and lifestyle fashion accessories. To cope with business expansion management is looking for an energetic Regional Buying Manager to direct the online and offline merchandising function.
About the Role
Reporting to the APAC Sales Director and functionally to the GM of Merchandising, you will closely work with the APAC eCommerce team to develop the best merchandising strategy as well as plan product promotion initiatives for the eCommerce business across Hong Kong, Singapore and Taiwan.
Our client will also be expecting the Regional Buying Manager to further strengthen the brand's offline merchandising performance through developing the OTB template, analysing sales data and managing gross margin and inventory levels. You will be actively communicating with the local buying teams for each respective region and responsible for conveying the top seasonal initiatives via conducting product brief, developing the seasonal launch plan, category /sub-category assortment strategy, forecasting, and deploying buy execution as well as planning effective markdown strategies.
- Degree holder with a proven track record of success with any MNC retailers (Management Trainee background will be highly preferred)
- Minimal of 8 years of merchandise Buying experience with at least 2 years at a managerial level
- APAC online Buying Experience is a must
- Independent with strong understanding in the APAC eCommerce landscape
- Active and energetic character, passionate towards sports
- Strong commercial sense and understanding towards the APAC sportswear DTC markets
- Communicative and able to collaborate with multiple internal stakeholders
- Excellent verbal and written English, Mandarin and Cantonese (any other spoken language will be an advantage)
