About The Client
Our MNC client is looking for an Assistant Legal Counsel with PQE 3+ to join their team, targeting HK-qualified lawyers with in-house experience handling PRC cases (prior APAC experience will be a plus).
About The Role
Reporting into the General Counsel APAC, you will work within the small legal team with responsibilities as below:
- Work and advise business leaders on all legal and compliance matters
- Review, draft and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements and contracts, including leasing agreements, employment agreements, and import/export related legal documents
- Conduct legal research as required, and update relevant company policy to ensure compliance standards are met
- Liaise with external counsels and stakeholders as appropriate to facilicate any litigation-related matters
- Assist with ad hoc legal-related projects
Requirements
- PQE 3+ from reputable law firms; in-house legal experience gained from B2B industries preferred
- PRC and APAC in-house experience will be highly regarded
- Strong multitasking and time management skills juggling amongst different deadlines /priorities
- Able to thrive and contribute working independently within a lean team structure
- Good team player maintaining harmonious work relationship with internal stakeholders and other offices throughout APAC
- Proficiency in both English and Chinese required for this role
- Candidates with short notice will be an advantage
