Job Duties
- Strategic Financial Leadership: Shape the financial direction of the company by directing key financial functions, ensuring robust financial accounting, budgeting, reporting, and control measures are in place within the finance department.
- Financial Analysis & Interpretation:Oversee the preparation of financial reports and provide in-depth interpretation to facilitate informed decision-making, ensuring all financial information is delivered promptly and accurately.
- Business Initiative Support:Offer financial expertise to assess the potential impact and opportunities of new business ventures, providing forecasts and guidance to support strategic planning.
- Performance Evaluation & Reporting:Analyze and evaluate business performance through comprehensive financial analysis and present findings to support strategic planning, offering recommendations to senior management.
- Accounting Process Development:Design and implement accounting processes for new initiatives and projects, ensuring seamless integration with transaction processing systems and the general ledger.
- Audit Management:Lead both internal and external audit processes, ensuring the integrity and transparency of financial operations.
- Process Optimization:Continuously enhance finance processes and systems to improve operational efficiency, accuracy, and overall effectiveness.
- Special Project Management:Lead or collaborate on special projects requiring financial acumen, detailed financial analysis, or the development of complex financial models to provide clarity and insights into project dynamics.
- Regulatory Compliance:Ensure adherence to accounting standards and regulatory disclosure requirements, maintaining full compliance with relevant financial regulations.
Job Qualifications
- Educational Background:A university degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline is required.
- Professional Experience:A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in accounting, auditing, treasury, or funding within a financial institution or equivalent role, with a preference for candidates with prior M&A experience.
- Certification:A qualification as a CPA, ACCA, or an equivalent professional accounting designation.
- Expertise & Skills:Demonstrated strong business acumen, deep professional knowledge, and superior problem-solving abilities.
- Personal Attributes:A proactive and self-motivated individual with excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
- Workload Management:The ability to manage multiple tasks, work effectively under pressure, and meet stringent deadlines.
- Technical Proficiency:Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Word and Excel, is essential.
- Language Proficiency:A strong command of written and spoken English and Chinese, with Mandarin proficiency considered an asset.
