Financial Controller
About the Client
Our client is an award-winning MNC that designs and distributes consumer products. An opportunity now arises for a seasoned Financial Controller to lead their accounting team in the Hong Kong office.
About the Role
Reporting to the Managing Director in Hong Kong, you will oversee a full spectrum of accounting and finance functions. You will supervise AP, AR, GL teams, review and streamline accounting processes to ensure timely reporting. You will be responsible for handling budgeting and forecasting for the Hong Kong office. You will manage cashflow, ensure tax compliance and facilitate audit processes. You will support entity set-up in China, e.g. accounting standard and tax matters. You will communicate with global finance team for reporting matters. You will involve in finance transformation. You will be a people leader to manage changes and reskill talents to cope with business growth. You will also help to support payroll and operation duties for the Hong Kong office.
The Successful Applicant
- Degree holder in Accounting, Finance or equivalent
- HKICPA/ACCA or equivalent
- At least 15 years of accounting and finance experience
- Familiar with financial processes and internal control
- Track record of managing a sizable accounting team
- Experience in sourcing, trading & distribution, manufacturing or logistics sector is an advantage
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Fluent in Cantonese, English and Mandarin
- Occasional travel is required
