Job Description

Senior Manager (Contract, HR shared service)

  • Management of HR shared service project
  • Managerial exp in luxury or sizable org
  • Regional exposure in top-tier luxury brand
  • 6-month contract, up to $85-95k

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and drive planned projects and improvement initiatives to ensure they are delivered per the schedule, and report deviation, risk and issues. Lead the process of working out remediation actions with the respective leads and follow through on these items to closure.
  • Oversee the preparation of the HR Service Management initiative: ServiceNow for HR, which is a transformational 3 year programme which we plan on kicking off in mid 2024. Work closely with our Head of HR Business Services and the project team to ensure its success.
  • Support the Head of HR Business Services in all regular market check-in meetings, summarized the meeting minutes and follow up on agreed action points.
  • Provide leadership support to the Senior Operations Excellence & Projects Manager to ensure all key projects and improvement initiatives are delivered successfully and they follow standard project and change management governance and principles.
  • Lead the process of providing input to the HR Business Services newsletter and work with the Senior Governance & Performance manager to ensure it is issued in a timely manner.
  • Review all HRBS dashboards, and work with the respective leads to ensure they are uplifted to the required levels of clarity.
  • Review overall HRBS document management and repository ecosystem and propose improved ways of maintaining documents across all domains.
  • Represent Head of HRBS at the Change Control Board to ensure the right governance, discussions, and decisions are made for change requests, new project and initiative requests.

Requirements

  • University degree
  • Minimum 6 years working experience, inclusive of 3 years of managerial experience.
  • Previous experience in HR Shared Service Center is an advantage.
  • Strong Project and Change Management experience
  • Fluent in English and Cantonese. The ability to speak Mandarin or other Asian language are an advantage.
  • Strong strategic mindset, logical and able to connect the dot from varies information to create business impact.
  • Solid knowledge and leadership experience in design and analysis of business processes and systems.
  • Strong problem solving & analytical skills.
  • Strong communication/presentation capability and able to work with different characteristics and personalities of team members through conversations.
  • People oriented and able to drive for the result.
  • Build cross-cultural relationships and partnerships by fostering idea exchange and shaping perspectives.
