About Our Client
Our client is a leading multinational discount supermarket chains operating over 10,000 stores in 20 countries, and they are looking for a Supply Chain Specialist to manage their Ocean Freight Consolidation and shipment arrangement in their Hong Kong Office.
Job Duties
- Handle inbound and outbound shipment and supply chain related matters
- Update and maintain ocean freight shipment data in system accurately
- Handle shipment schedule and shipment plans with internal and external stakeholders
- Conduct forecast and analysis regarding the shipment volume, shipment date, and any special requirements to the service providers
- Review and monitor the ocean freight consolidation operations process and define continuous process improvement plans
- Prepare the required shipment status and KPIs reports
- Support in the preparation of ocean freight contract tendering documentations and bidding process
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders on any shipment operational issues and queries
- Handle ad-hoc project as required
Requirements
- Degree holder or above in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related disciplines
- At least 2 years of experience in supply chain/ logistics/ shipment management, preferably with experience in Freight Forwarder/ Buying Offices/ Logistics Service Provider
- Experience in reporting and analytics support in logistics field is preferable
- Experience in MS Office (Excel and PowerPoint), PowerBI, Exchange or any supply chain software solutions is preferable
- Good command of both verbal and written in English, Mandarin and Cantonese
