Our client is a leading consumer manufacturer with world class wholly-owned design, prototyping, and manufacturing capabilities. It is a key partner for some of the world largest tech companies and consumer goods brands. As to keep its leading position in the disruptive design and manufacturing industry, the team is looking for an innovative candidate as Technical Director in order to develop the technology road map for the group.
About the Role
Report to Executive Vice President of Supply Chain, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership to new business development and managing a team of process development engineers for a wide variety of consumer products from concept phase to mass production. In addition, you will be also responsible for managing a prototype team supporting both new and existing clients, and providing technical support to the group technology road map.
Requirement
- A degree in an engineering field, or deep knowledge of hardware product development principles gained through professional experience.
- 10+ years of experience as a technical hardware project or program manager (e.g. consumer electronics, plastic)
- Demonstrated initiative and accomplishments working across departments and geographies to implement smart processes while fostering a collaborative work environment
- Comprehensive familiarity with the product development process for different disciplines and how they interact (mechanical, electrical & embedded firmware engineering, manufacturing, and industrial design preferred) throughout the hardware product development process, from concept to manufacturing
- Fluent in English
