Finance Officer (NGO, 2-year contract)
- Exp in finance & accounting operation
- Proficient in Excel & Xero
- 5-day work, $25-30k
- Location: Quarry Bay
Job Responsibilities and Duties
- Support the Chief Executive on operating budget, monitor the various types of income and expenditure of the whole organisation;
- Expert use of Xero to manage our finance on cloud;
- Work on the annual budget with cooperation from different programmes' responsibles, and organise on the income and expenditure split;
- Work closely with the partnership team to manage the donation income status and predict potential fundings;
- Coordinate with auditors, accountants and programme team for yearly organisation audit and project audit;
- Manage and coordinate routine financial duties, including receipts and procurement records, staff claims, income and expenditure records etc;
- Help pay bills, issue and deposit cheques and support office finance-related administrative activities;
Qualifications
- Degree holder in any discipline with at least 3 years' experience in finance and administrative areas, preferably in NGO/charity sector;
- Good sense of numbers and understanding of accounting concepts;
- Good command of written and spoken English and Cantonese;
- A strong team player capable of working with different personalities from different functional backgrounds;
- Strong ability to complete multiple assignments, prioritize work and meet deadlines;
- Organised and detail-oriented with high integrity;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel;
- Candidates with more experience will be considered the Senior Officer position
