Financial Controller
About the Client
Our client is an overseas based hotel group with over 50 operations worldwide. A rare opportunity now arises for a seasoned Financial Controller to station in their US/UK office.
About the Role
- Managing the preparation of the monthly accounts, working with the onsite accounts teams to produce the accounts at hotel level, and consolidating these to group level
- Coordinating and directing the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and the reporting of variances
- Completing balance sheet reviews with the onsite accounts teams, highlighting and managing risks to the business
- Managing the preparation of the annual statutory accounts, VAT returns and other statutory reporting
- Overseeing the production of all management information, improving the accuracy, efficiency, and relevance
- Providing financial guidance to finance and non-finance team members
- Consolidating and forecasting cashflows
- Ensuring compliance with legislation and internal controls across the business
- Being the main contact for auditors, co-ordinating the provision of information
- Directly line managing and developing accounts graduate roles within the department
The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor Degree holder in Accounting, Finance or equivalent
- At least 8 years of relevant work experience in a sizable hotel group
- Group level/Regional reporting experience is preferred
- AICPA/ACCA is required
- External audit experience is an advantage
- Adaptive, reliable and commercial
- High proficiency in English and Cantonese is a must
- Station in US/UK office
