About Our Client
Our client is one of the well-established NGOs in Hong Kong. They are currently hiring for a Head of Human Resources to join and support overall HR services in the organisation.

About The Role
Reporting into the COO, you will:

- Consolidate, communicate and implement an HR plan to support the needs of the organisation with the flexibility to cope with changes as they occur
- Act as a HR business partner/ coach to senior managers and build positive relationships to ensure consistency of approach, and to develop an understanding of the importance of good HR practice / leadership
- Advise management on HR related issues
- Ensure that all key HR processes are carried out to the highest level and are accurate and fit for purpose
- Develop and improve HR initiatives and systems across the organisation
- Ensure that the organisation is compliant with current employment law issues and provide sound legislative advice to senior managers, using a pragmatic and common sense approach
- Ensure that the recruitment processes are run efficiently and effectively, specifically ensure that recruitment advertising is targeted, value for money and build the reputation of the organisation
- Implement a new, simplified performance appraisal system and work with management to ensure all staff have clear objectives and development plans, and to provide the right training and development, particularly in staff management and fundraising skills
- Develop a suite of training solutions, using external providers where necessary, to support the organisation's needs.

Requirements
- Degree holder in Social Studies, Public Administration, Human Resources or relevant disciplines
- 20+ years of all round HR management experience with sound knowledge and understanding of HR issues and procedures
- Previous experience working in an NGO will be ideal but not a must
- Previous experience of managing a team, with the ability to recognise the value and responsibilities of the team, and to support and develop the team and lead them in an inspiring and professional manner
- Experience of supporting senior managers with the ability to quick establish credibility and respect, demonstrate maturity and professionalism
- Proactive, creative and dynamic; a confident and articulate communicator
- Excellent attention to detail, thoughtful and able to listen carefully
- Ability to work collaboratively and establish and maintain good work relationships
- Able to work independently and use initiative
