About The Client
Our client is a renowned fashion retailer with strong APAC presence. They are now looking for an Intellectual Property Manager to oversee their SouthEast Asian business, targeting candidates with 10+ years relevant experience to join.
About The Role
Reporting into the Intellectual Property Director, you will:
- be responsible for all IP protection and enforcement matters for the SouthEast Asian region, including the development and enhancement of Civil, Criminal & Customs Enforcement work, portfolio management and also internet-related matters;
-allow information exchange via trainings and workshops around Civil, Criminal and Customers Enforcement;
-manage IP Enforcement measures liaising with regional counterparts and regulatory bodies;
-build good relationship with peer brands that are experiencing similar issues in IPRs and conduct related seminars and awareness programes for employees and stakeholders;
-develop and maintain a comprehensive database with Brand Enformcement information and also train store staff on genuine and counterfeit goods;
-assist with raid actions against manufacturers, distributors and retailers for infringed goods and services.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have/be:
-10+ years relevant experience in Intellectual Property, ideally from MNCs, reputable law firms and also retailing sector;
-Legal qualification a must;
-High proficiency in both spoken and written English and Chinese;
-A strong team player who can also work independently and excel on his/her own;
-Detail oriented, can adpot flexible approach and be able to work under pressure.
