About The Client
Our client is a leader in the music / entertainment sector. They are now hiring a Head of Legal (PQE 5-10) to join as part of the management team - this role will manage a team and take up corporate, general counsel and also oversee company secretarial matters.
About The Role
Reporting into the Managing Director, you will be the key legal advisor to the business management team whereby giving sound legal advice and guidance relating to the operation and strategic development of the business. You will ensure an effective legal framework and procedures are in place, and would provide legal advice on the structuring and negoatiting competitive commercial terms; drafting and reviewing variety of agreements; also assisting with other contentious issues including copyright infringement, breach of contract and debt recovery. You will also with with external counsels on any ongoing litigious matters, and keep management team abreast of latest laws and regulations that may have implcations to the business activities across APAC region. You will also oversee all company secretarial matters as required.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will be a Hong Kong qualified lawyer with PQE 5-10+ relevant experience acquired from sizeable multinational corporations. You will be familiar with copyright and commercial laws in particular local and PRC laws and regulations. You will also come with the ability to negotiate, draft and review a variety of agreements. Alongside strong problem-solving, analytical and organizational skills, tactful influencing skills liaisng with business stakeholders will help excel in this role. Proficiency in both English and Chinese required, and immediately available candidates highly regarded.
