Job Description
Our client is a renowned bank within the financial services sector, with key businesses across retail, corporate and private banking. They are currently seeking for a Legal Counsel as part of the sizeable and stable legal team.
Reporting into the Head of Legal, you will provide contextual legal advice to various business divisions with key emphasis on securities investment and insurance. As the internal legal counsel, you will attend product approval meetings and participate in strategic business decisions. You will also involve in deal negotiations and/or any dispute settlement as the 'face' of the bank. On a daily basis, you will review legal documents in relation to banking products and services; liaise with external legal parties and assist the Head of Legal with ad hoc projects.
The ideal candidate will be a HK qualified lawyer with a minimum of 8 years' PQE preferably from banking or financial services industry. You will be conversant with local legal and regulatory requirements on banking procedures and sound knowledge with banking operations, products and services. On top of a strategic mindset and strong business acumen, you will also be a pragmatic individual who strive for positive results. Proficiency in Chinese will be essential for this position.
