Our client
Reporting to the Section Head - Data Quality Management, you will be responsible to improve and ensure the data quality of customer information by conducting data analysis, executing data cleansing, leading & executing projects with SDLC activities with IT project teams including the design on ETL jobs, interfacing with other applications, monitoring data quality with reports / dashboards.
Responsibilities:
- Take project manager role to go through SDLC activities for data analysis, cleansing and data governance projects
- Liaise with business departments to define data quality business rules and data structure
- Conduct and coordinate users for data cleansing exercise
- Work with IT project teams and/or solution providers to implement data governance & quality rules
- Conduct ongoing monitoring on the conformance with the data quality management procedures and guidelines
- Provide production support and troubleshooting on data management systems
- Analyze user and system requirements and set direction, guidelines and procedures of data governance and data quality standard
- Conduct presentation to business counterparts and user regarding date management issues
Requirements:
- University degree in Computer Science, Information Systems and/or related disciplines
- Minimum 7 years' experience in IT industry with at least 2 years in data management, data governance, data related analysis and design, data modelling and/or related application development projects
- Minimum 2 years' experience in the banking sector with good understanding in related business applications, data management and related technologies
- Must have hands-on experience in SQL, VBA and data query tools
- Solid SDLC and project management experience in large scale, preferably Core Banking system revamp project is essential
- Able to communicate with stakeholders, resolve conflicts and provide solutions in timely manner
- Solid working experience in data query and integration tools (Cognos, DataStage, Power BI, MS Access) and ETL implementation
- General understanding in data quality improvement, data management processes and business intelligence application is preferred
- Good communication skills in Cantonese and English, with Putonghua an advantage
