About The Client
Our client is a conglomerate business headquartered in Hong Kong. They are now hiring a (Senior) Legal & Compliance Manager to support with the designated business units.
About The Role
Reporting into the Head of Legal & Compliance, you will assume the following duties:
- Provide legal and compliance advice to the business and senior management team
- Draft, review and negotiate a varietyof commercial contracts
- Ensure compliance standards are in place with company policies
- Identify and minimise business risks of existing projects
- Liaise with internal and external counsels on employee issues including labour relations, personal injuries, intellectual property, competition law etc
- Conduct legal research as required
- Maintain and manage legal database
- Provide legal training to internal employees as required
Requirements
The ideal candidate will be/have:
- Degree educated in Law or related disciplines
- 10+ years of relevant legal & compliance working experience, preferably in manufacturing or retail environment
- Established track record drafting and reviewing variety of commercial documents
- Strong prioritising skills juggling across multiple projects
- Organised and a self-starter with flexibility working within a lean team and as an individual contributor
- Excellent verbal and written communications and negotiation skills
- Fluent in spoken and written English, Cantonese and Mandarin
- Candidates with short notice period highly regarded
