Our client is a leading pharmaceutical business with growing APAC presence. As part of business strategy and transformation, they are now rebuilding the legal team and hiring a (Senior) Legal Counsel with 8+ years of relevant experience to join and make an impact. About The Role
Reporting into the General Counsel, you will be based in Hong Kong and oversee the Asia markets. You will help rebuild the legal team refining and rolling out policies and procedures, supporting with the roll-out of electronic tools and platforms including contracts management, events management and eLearning systems. You will also help with drafting and reviewing contract templates, monitoring and training for the business' legal & business conduct programs in order to establish the regional compliance infrastructure. This is a crucial role which would require working closely with regional teams across commercial planning & operations, medical, finance, regulatory, public & government affairs, projects management etc. to ensure the company operates in accordance to laws, regulations and best industry practices.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have a law degree with 8+ years relevant experience from reputable law firms and/or in-house experience. You will have sound track record drafting and negotiating variety of legal documents, also experience managing legal and compliance risks within a matrix organization. Proficiency in English will be required for this role and a team player with ability to multi-task and shift priorities with tight deadlines will help excel in this role.
