Our client
Our client is a leading consultancy company with a significant presence in Hong Kong and Asia Pacific. Over the years, they have established a dominant market position. Due to the business expansion, a Data Analyst/ Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst is needed to join their growing team.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with business / support units to understand their needs and develop data-driven solutions.
- Source, cleanse and consolidate data from different systems, reports and manual sources, where applicable.
- Conduct data analysis of large transaction data sets and data preparation for visualization or analytics/modelling
- Develop reports, dashboards and other artifacts to communicate the analysis results to business users.
Requirements:
- Degree holder preferably in Computer Science, Math and Statistics or related discipline.
- 2-3 year experience in Data or Business Intelligence Domain
- Experience with SQL and data presentation/visualization tools (like Qliksense, Qlikview, Tableau etc.) is a must.
- Experience in collecting, relating, preparing and modelling data from disparate sources for reporting & analysis.
- Must have Python programming experience in their previous projects/jobs
- Strong in Python and data modeling/visualization
- Working knowledge of Hadoop ecosystem (HDFS, Hive, Impala, Spark) is preferred but not necessary.
- Exposure to working knowledge of advanced analytics and machine learning techniques, e.g.: clustering methods, classification methods, logistic and linear regression is advantageous
- Strong problem solving, business analysis, quantitative & communication skills (and a curious nature to match)
- Self-directed with high motivation and demonstrated capacity to innovate and explore new techniques
- Proficient in English and fluency in Cantonese is preferred.
- Experience in banking industry preferred.
