About the client:
Our client is a reputable retail and wholesale bank in Hong Kong, we are now looking for a seasoned candidate to lead the regulatory reporting team.
Responsibilities:
- Drive and lead the team to prepare the banking returns in accordance with regulatory requirements
- Ensure all reporting requirements are met properly and carried out in an accurate and a timely manner
- Prepare and review financial disclosure and audited financial statements in compliance with Banking Disclosure Rule
- Review projections on regulatory ratios
- Keep update to HKMA and CBIRC returns procedures manual and streamline the reporting workflow to improve the efficiency
- Participate in the annual budget and quarterly forecast process and the system enhancement projects for UAT testing
- Liaise with regulators and auditors related to regulatory reporting issues
- Formulate the approaches and drive the subordinates in performing the user acceptance tests
Requirements:
- University degree or above in Accounting, Finance or related disciplines, with CPA qualification
- At least 10 years of experience in sizeable banks with 3-5 years of team management position
- Solid knowledge of HKMA regulatory reporting requirements including CAR, Liquidity and other returns
- Able to work under pressure and
- Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
- Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese, fluency in Mandarin is an advantage
